Meitu has released the V6 – a new camera-centric luxury phone with a total of four cameras – dual front and rear sensors and hand-stitched calf leather back in Edinburgh Blue, Melbourne Green, Morocco Powder and Rotterdam Orange colour options complete with 18K real Gold rivets and gold-plated metal body frame.
The Meitu V6 has the brand’s hexagonal (6-corner) signature design and one of the highlights is the dual cameras (front and rear) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) Beauty enhancing technology. Both are equipped with 12MP + 2MP Sony IMX362 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and 0.13s PDAF.
The rear camera also has two dual-tone LED Flash on both sides of the cameras. Also the camera has modes such as special night shooting modes, portrait modes and more.
The V6 sports a 5.49-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD OLED display, an unnamed processor clocked at 2.8GHz (possibly the Deca-core Mediatek Helio X30 soc), 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 128GB built-in storage and dual front stereo speaker. It comes pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat OS and depends on a 3,100mAh battery.
Pre-orders for the Meitu V6 commences on November 13 and sales is expected to commence on November 23. While there is no word on pricing yet, the device will likely be only available in the Chinese market.
