Europe-based Allview has launched a new battery- and selfie-centric smartphone called the Allview P9 Energy S. The mid-ranger packs a sizeable 5,000mAh battery with 5V/2A fast charge and promises up to 22 hours of talk time as well as up to 403 hours of standby time.
With 10 minutes of charge, the Allview P9 Energy S delivers up to 90 minutes of talk time or over 1,760 selfies. It is housed in a 8.9mm thick metal case and sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD InCell display with 2.5D full lamination and front fingerprint sensor (0.4s unlock time).
On the inside, the device is powered by an octa-core Mediatek processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space (expandable up to 128GB via microSD). It boots Android 7.0 Nougat OS and has the FastPass+ experience developed by Google and Mediatek to integrate Google Basic apps.
Photography is handled by a rear 13MP camera with LED flash, PDAF, HDR, Night Shoot Mode and Panorama. The front selfie camera is also a 13MP snapper with LED flash and Face Beauty. The P9 Energy S offers 4G Dual Mode connectivity and charges other mobile devices via USB OTG.
The Allview P9 Energy S can also function as a remote control for TVs, electronic and household appliances with the Peel Remote app and integrated infrared sensor. It is priced at EUR 249 and sales commences next week (November 13th).
