HTC and SoftBank Release HTC U11 Life as HTC X2 In Japan

‎HTC has teamed up with Tokyo-based Softbank Group Corp. to launch the HTC U11 Life in the Japan as the HTC X2 (X2-HT). The mid-ranger is based on the Android One variant i.e it comes pre-loaded with the stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo and will go on sale this month (December 2017).

The HTC X2 inherits all the features of the U11 Life as expected. It sports a 5.2-inch FHD Super LCD display (16:9 aspect ratio), 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD) and 2600mAh built-in battery with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0.

Photography is handled by a rear facing 16MP camera with BSI sensor, Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture and 4K video recording while the front selfie camera is also a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording. ‎

The smartphone ‎relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and is IP67-certified (dust and water resistant). It is equipped with the Edge Sense feature and ‎HTC’s USonic high-performance noise cancelling earphone. The HTC X2 will arrive in Ice White and Sapphire Blue colour options. ‎
