Few weeks after launching a number of new smartphones with FullView or FullScreen display; Gionee is apparently working on a new affordable smartphone with the same feature. The Gionee F205L (final name still unknown) has been spotted on TENAA’s with the increasingly popular 18:9 aspect ratio.
The Gionee F205L sports a 5.45-inch (1440 x 720 pixels) HD+ TFT edge-to-edge display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage and microSD card slot – up to 128GB. It is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and boots Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with the company’s Amigo OS on-top.
In the camera segment, the smartphone has a rear facing 8MP AF camera with CMOS sensor, LED flash and 720p HD video recording support alongside a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats. It weighs 135.6 grams, measures 148.4 x 70.7 x 7.95 mm and supports 4G LTE networks.
The Gionee F205L lacks a fingerprint sensor and depends on a seemingly inept 2,670 mAh battery for power. There is no official word on a potential launch date, however, it will arrive in three colour options including Glass Red and Ice Sea Blue.
