Samsung has officially launched its new mid-range Galaxy A series smartphones – the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018). Both devices take their body and screen design inspiration from the high-end Galaxy S series and the first ever Samsung phones with dual front cameras.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) are equipped with 16MP (f/1.9) + 8MP (f/1.9) dual front cameras with Live Focus, Stickers, Filters and Beauty Mode features. The main camera is a 16MP snapper with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and f/1.7 aperture.
The Galaxy A8 (2018) has a 5.6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and a 3,000mAh battery while the bigger Galaxy A8+ (2018) has a 6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display and 3,500mAh battery. Both devices are IP68-certified chassis and run the now dated Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS.

Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) Galaxy A8+ (2018) are priced starting at EUR 499 (US$ 588) and EUR 599 (US$ 706) respectively. The will both roll-out starting January 2018 in Europe and come in Black, Blue, Gold and Orchid Grey colours.
