MWC 2018: ZTE Blade V9, Blade V9 Vita, Temp Go Android Oreo (Go edition)

Earlier today at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona, ZTE announced new smartphone offerings from its Blade line – the ZTE Blade V9 and ZTE Blade V9 Vita, along with its first ever Android Go edition smartphone – the ZTE Temp Go Android Oreo (Go edition).

ZTE Blade V9 and Blade V9 Vita

ZTE has finally made the Blade V9 Smartphone official. The mid-ranger surfaced earlier this year with a 5.7-inch 18:9 Fullscreen display with 2.5D curved glass and 2160 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) resolution, metal body frame with glass back, and rear fingerprint sensor.

The Blade V9 has a dual rear camera setup which combines a primary 16MP sensor with a 6-element lens, f/1.8 aperture and PDAF 2.0, along with a secondary 5MP sensor. The front camera is a 13MP sensor with moonlight flash. All the sensors are services by ZTE’s LLS (low-light solution) software.

The V9 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor paired with 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage or 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage. It comes pre-loaded with Android Oreo OS and features a separate sound chamber with a smart power amplifier and DTS Audio.

On its part, the ZTE Blade V9 Vita has a smaller 5.45-inch display, front facing 5MP camera, 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 mobile platform and 3,200mAh battery. It will arrive in two RAM and storage oprions: 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage.

The 3GB RAM model of the ZTE Blade V9 costs EUR 269 while the 4GB version costs EUR 299. The ZTE Blade V9 Vita is priced at EUR 179 for the 2GB RAM variant and EUR 199 for the 4GB RAM variant.

ZTE Temp Go Android Oreo (Go edition)

ZTE has hopped on Google’s watered down version of the Android OS for weaker Android smartphones. The ZTE Temp Go Android Oreo (Go Edition) is the first ever device to officially launch with the OS and the first Go Edition device from ZTE.

The Temp Go is based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 210 Mobile platform and boots the latest version of Android 8.1 Oreo OS. It packs a rear 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB built-in expandable storage and rear 5MP camera with LED flash, front 2MP camera and a 2,200mAh battery.

The device comes pre-installed with Android Go apps such as Maps Go, Gboard Go and YouTube Go. It will be available through ZTE’s website soon in Grey Model colour and go on sale for $79.99.
