Alongside the existing Zenfone Max (M1) and NovaGo, ASUS introduced the new Zenfone 5 series smartphones at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona. The ASUS Zenfone 5 and ASUS Zenfone 5Z both feature a large 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 Super IPS display with 90% screen-to-body ratio, 12MP (f/1.8) + 8MP (f/2.0) dual rear cameras and front 8MP (f/2.0) camera with 83-degree wide angle lens.
Touted as the extreme version of the ZenFone 5, the ASUS ZenFone 5Z is the highest smartphone from the series, thus, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform and offers up to 8GB of RAM along with up to 256GB built-in storage space.
On the other hand, the ASUS ZenFone 5 is touted as the first smartphone available worldwide to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 mobile platform. It packs up to 6GB RAM, up to 128GB built-in storage space and comes pre-loaded with the Android Oreo OS with ZenUI 5.0 on top.
