Huawei nova 3e Debuts With Notched FullScreen Display, Dual Rear Cameras

‎As expected, Huawei has officially taken the wraps off its latest nova series smartphone – the Huawei nova 3e. The mid-ranger is seemingly confirmed to be another name for the upcoming Huawei P20 Lite, which will be launched on the same day (March 27) as its two more power models: Huawei P20 and P20 Pro.

The Huawei nova 3e sports a metal unibody design, 5.84-inch 19:9 display with 2280 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) resolution, 2.5D curved glass and U-shaped notch at the top. It measures 7.4 mm thin, weighs 148 grams and will arrive in Klein Blue, Midnight Black and Sakura Pink colours.

Photography is handled by a rear facing dual camera combo of a primary 16MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and LED flash and a secondary 2MP camera for portrait shots. The front facing camera here is a 24MP snapper with the new Sony IMX576 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and various beautify features.

‎On the inside, the device boots Android 8.0 Oreo OS with EMUI 8.0 on top and relies on the Kirin 659 processor (the same SoC found on most 2018 Huawei’s mid-range smartphones) paired with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB built-in storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD).

‎The Huawei nova 3e also features a rear fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C 2.0 port, NFC, 4G LTE connectivity and depends on a 3,000mAh battery with 9V/2A fast charging. It is already available on pre-order in China and will go on sale from March 27th. The 4GB + 64GB model is priced at CNY 1999 (USD 315) while the 4GB + 128GB model costs CNY 2199 (USD 347).
