Yesterday, HTC released two new mid-range smartphones under its Desire series. The HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+ are priced starting at EUR 200 (USD 246) and EUR 250 (USD 307) respectively, and will go on sale in April. Black, Gold, Purple and Silver are the colour options to choose from.
The HTC Desire 12 has a 5.5-inch HD+ 18:9 display and depends on a 2,730mAh battery, while the HTC Desire 12+ has a bigger 6-inch display with the same resolution and 2,965mAh battery. The former boots the dated Android Nougat OS with Sense UI while the latter boots Android Oreo with Sense Ui on top.
The Desire 12 is based on a Mediatek processor paired with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and photography is handled by a single 13MP camera with PDAF along with a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. The Desire 12+ on the other hand, is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Mobile platform paired with 3GB of RAM and features 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras along with a front facing 8MP selfie camera.
