At a press event yesterday in Paris, Huawei launched its latest P series flagships – the Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro to join the Huawei P20 Lite. The duo, direct successors to the P10 and P10 Plus, feature advanced camera system certified by Leica and draws power from Huawei’s in-house produced Kirin 970 SoC with i7 co-processor and built-in NPU, the same processor powering the Mate 10 Series.

The Huawei P20 has a 5.8-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with iPhone X-styled notch, stunning glass-back design and boots EMUI 8.1 (based on Android Oreo OS). It is equipped with Leica branded 12MP (RGB, f/1.8 aperture) + 20MP (Monochrome, f/1.6 aperture) dual rear cameras with 2x Hybrid Zoom and 24MP selfie camera with AI beautification, 3D portrait lighting and face unlock support.
Huawei P20 Pro comes equipped with a unique Leica Triple camera setup with 40MP (RGB, f/1.8), 20MP (monochrome, f/1.6) and 8MP (telephoto, f/2.4) sensors with new Leica 3x telephoto (VARIO-SUMMILUX-H 1:1.6-2.4/27-80ASPH) lens for long-range photography of up to 5x Hybrid Zoom. It also captures low light photos with up to ISO 102400.
Both the P20 and P20 Pro support Ultra Snapshot mode (captures images in 0.2s second), 960fps super slow motion (4X higher than the standard 240fps), AI image stabilisation and Google ARCore. According to imaging quality measuring website, DxOMark, the P20 Pro has a total score 109 (the highest yet) while the P20 scored 102.

Pricing and Availability
The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro will roll-out globally and will arrive in Black, Midnight Blue, Pink Gold and Twilight colour options. The P20 will go on sale priced starting at EUR 649 (USD 801) while the P20 Pro is priced higher at EUR 899 (USD 1110).
