Alongside the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, the Chinese company also unveiled the Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS (Race Sport). The luxury smartphone is modelled after the P20 Pro and arrives in 256GB and 512GB built-in storage options for a steep price tag of EUR 1,695 (USD 2,089) and EUR 2,095 (USD 2,581).
The Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS is modelled after the P20 Pro (minus the iPhone-X style notch) and has the same Leica Triple camera setup which includes 40MP (RGB, f/1.9), 20MP (monochrome, f/1.6) and 8MP (telephoto, f/2.4) sensors. The camera arrangement has changed from top left corner on the P20 Pro to centre back position to closely resemble other Mate series smartphones.
The luxury Mate RS is the first Huawei smartphone with quick wireless charging enabled. It has a 6-inch OLED 2K display, 6GB of RAM, Kirin 970 SoC, front facing 24MP camera with AI portraits and comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor along with the rear fingerprint sensor.
Power is supplied by a 4, 000mAh battery with AI-powered battery management and Huawei SuperCharge. The phone will be available globally in Black and Red colour options.
