Every year, Samsung releases flagship smartphones under its Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series. As the just launched Galaxy S9/S9+, successor to the Galaxy S8/S8+, are gradually rolling out globally, the next notable Samsung smartphone to look forward to is the Galaxy Note 9, successor to last year’s Galaxy Note 8.
A new smartphone with the codename – Samsung SM-N960U, believed to be the Galaxy Note 9 has been put through it paces on Geekbench benchmark. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform paired with 6GB of RAM and boot Android 8.1.0 Oreo OS.
The listing doesn’t reveal other core specifications, however, the device posted a single-core and multi-core score of 2190 and 8806 respectively. These results are noticeably within the same range as other high-end smartphones with the aforementioned processor on-board.
Similar to the Galaxy S8 series, the Samsung SM-N960U will be available in North America while the yet-to-be spotted Exynos version will be available in other regions. According to various reports, Samsung is also considering incorporating in-display fingerprint sensor to the Galaxy Note 9.
Over the coming months until its expected launch around Q3 2018, expect more details and features about the Galaxy Note 9.
