Fresh off the launch of the Honor 7C with 18:9 FullView display and dual rear cameras in China, Huawei’s Honor brand has launched another budget mid-tier device – the Honor 7A with similar features. It is now open for pre-order and will go on sale  starting today (April 3rd) in China.

Pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo OS with EMUI 8.0 on top, the Honor 7A sports a 5.7-inch ‎(1440 x 720 pixels) HD+ FullView display with 2.5D curved glass and 18:9 aspect ratio. It measures 152.4 x 73 x 7.8 mm in dimensions, weighs 150 grams ‎and depends on a 3,000mAh battery (non-removable).

The smartphone comes equipped with a single front facing 8MP camera with ‎f/2.0 aperture, soft LED flash, beauty mode and support for Face Unlock that scans up to 1024 facial features. The rear dual camera setup include a primary 13MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, paired with a secondary 2MP camera for capturing depth information.

Internally, the Honor 7A relies on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core mobile platform paired with 2GB /3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD). It is priced at CNY 799 (US$ 126) for the 2GB RAM version and CNY 999 (US$ 158) for the 3GB RAM version.
