Samsung is gearing up for the release of the two new Galaxy A series smartphones – the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+. Both models, which will slot in behind the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8 (2018), will feature Infinity Displays with Super AMOLED screen, rear fingerprint sensors and a unibody metal design.
The Samsung Galaxy A6+, which is the bigger of the duo, has been certified by TENAA and spotted on retail listing in Europe. The Galaxy A6+ will have a 6-inch Infinity display with 18:5:9 aspect ratio and 2220 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) resolution, octa-core SoC (Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC) and depending on the market will arrive in 3GB /4GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB storage.
The rest of the Galaxy A6+ specs include 16MP AF (f/1.7) + 5MP FF (f/1.9) dual rear cameras with Live Focus, front facing 24MP FF (f/1.9) camera with LED flash, Samsung Pay, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 3,500mAh battery. It comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS and supports Bixby Vision, Home and Reminder.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A6 will reportedly feature a 5.6-inch Infinity display with 18:5:9 aspect ratio and 1420 x 720 pixels (HD+), an octa-core SoC (Exynos 7870), 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage. In some markets, the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version will also be on sale.
The rest of the Galaxy A6 specs include: 16MP AF (f/1.7) rear camera without Live Focus, 16MP FF (f/1.9) front camera with LED flash, microSD card slot (expandable up to 256GB), Samsung Pay, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and a 3,000mAh battery. Like the Galaxy A6+, It also boots Andorid 8.1 Oreo OS and supports Bixby Vision, Home and Reminder.
The Galaxy A6 and A6+ are expected to be launched in Europe, the Middle East and Russia starting May. Both models will be available in variable colour options and will go sale starting at EUR 300 – 340 for the A6 and between EUR 360 and 400 for the A6+.
