LG V35 ThinQ Debuts With FullView Display, SD845 SoC, 16MP Dual Rear Cameras, AI Features

LG has announced the second ‘ThinQ branded’ V series of premium multimedia smartphone – the LG V35 ThinQ. Compared to previous generations, it is backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform and promises faster performance, and enhanced photography, audio and AI functionalities.

The LG V35 ThinQ has the same 6-inch QHD+ 18:9 OLED FullVision display with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and depends on a 3,300mAh battery with wired fast (QC 3.0) and wireless charging. It packs up to 6GB of RAM, 64/128GB built-in storage and a rear fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone is IP68-certifed (dust and water resistance) and has passed 14 of the US military’s MIL-STD 810G tests for reliability of equipment performance in harsh environments. It also features Hi-Fi Quad DAC and DTS:X for the user to enjoy virtual 3D surround sound up to 7.1 channel audio.

For photography, the V35 ThinQ sports a rear dual camera module which includes 16MP (F1.9 / 107°) Super Wide Angle and 16MP (F1.6 / 71°) Standard Angle lenses and a front facing 8MP (F1.9 / 80°) Wide Angle camera. The device has the improved AI CAM feature with 19 shooting modes, Potrait mode to create bokeh shots, Live Photo and new Super Bright Camera.

Thanks to Super Far Field Voice Recognition (SFFVR) technology, Google Assistant can be access by voice from up to 5 metres away regardless of the background noises. Also, users can access Google Lens in the camera app as well as from Google Assistant and Google Photos.

The LG V35 ThinQ (64GB storage) and LG V35+ ThinQ (128GB storage) will be available in the Americas starting June followed by limited markets in Africa, Asia and Middle East. They will come in New Aurora Black and New Platinum Gray colours, and pricing would be announced locally.
