TP-Link unveils Neffos P1 with built-in Laser Projector and 4,000mAh Battery

TP-Link has unveiled its latest Neffos-branded smartphone called the Neffos P1. The laser projector mid-range smartphone comes with a built-in MEMS laser projector which projects three colour laser beams on interface to form clear images.

Compared to other projectors, MEMS-based has a 5000:1 contrast ratio and wider colour gamut (1500% NTSC). Depending on the distance between the phone and projected surface, the phone projects images sizes between 20 to 200 inches.

Measuring 10.28 mm thick and weighing in at 203 grams, the Neffos P1 is housed in a full metal body and sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display with 16:9 aspect ratio and 400.5 PPI. It is backed by a 4,040mAh battery, which allows the device project continously for up to four (4) hours.

On the inside, the device is powered by the Mediatek MT6750V/WT octa-core processor and comes pre-loaded with the now dated Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It packs 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD) and supports 2G/3G/4G networks.

Photography is handled by a rear facing 13MP AF camera capable of recording 1080p Full HD videos at 30fps and front facing 5MP selfie camera. The TP-Link Neffos P1 is available in Space Black colour. No word on pricing and availability.
