LG Electronics has announced the launch of the LG Q8 (2018) to follow the recently launched high-end LG SIGNATURE (2018) smartphone in Korea. This 2018 Edition of the LG Q8, which should be the more affordable option to V35 ThinQ, will go on sale starting August 10th for a price tag starting at KRW 529,000 (~ US$ 480 or EUR 415). It is offered in Black and Blue colours.
The LG Q8 (2018) comes with a built-in Stylus Pen with features such as Memo (for taking notes directly on the display when the screen is turned off), Pop Memo, GIF Editing, Colouring Book and a variety of other editing functions. For photography, the smartphone is equipped with a rear 16MP (f/2.4) camera with PDAF and a front facing 5MP camera with 100-degree Super Wide Angle lens.
It sports a 6.2-inch FullVision display, measures 160.1 x 77.7 x 8.4 mm in size and backed by a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Internally, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core mobile platform paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in expandable storage.
The smartphone also has a microSD card slot (expandable up to 2TB), USB Type-C port, NFC, MIL-STD 810G (Military standard durability), IP68-rating (water and dust resistance), fingerprint sensor, Hi-Fi quality audio, DTS:X 3D Surround Sound and Hi-Fi Quad DAC. The LG Q8 (2018) comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
