Xiaomi’s upcoming sub-brand, POCO By Xiaomi has been confirmed to launch on August 22 at an event in Delhi. The Xiaomi POCO F1 (or Pocophone F1) will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor and is expected to go against the likes of the OnePlus 6.
The Xiaomi POCO F1 (PocoPhone F1) has the same body design as the Xiaomi Redmi Note line. It is built around a 5.99-inch (2246 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ notched display with 19:9 aspect ratio and backed by a lasting 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.
The smartphone packs 6GB of RAM, 64GB / 128GB built-in storage, microSD card slot, Hybrid Dual SIM slots, fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C port. Photography will be handled by 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras and front facing 20MP camera with LED flash and IR Face Unlock.
It also comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with MIUI 9.0 and a liquid cooling system visibly for intense gamings. The full details including pricing is expected to be revealed next week (August 22). The global launch as the Pocophone F1 is also expected to launch later this month.
