OPPO has launched the OPPO F9 in the Philippines and Vietnam. The latest F series mid-range smartphone has the now familiar FullScreen display with an impressive screen-to-body ratio, dual rear cameras and a number of AI assisted features.
The OPPO F9 sports a notched 6.3-inch Waterdrop screen with 2280 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. It has a unified design, rear fingerprint sensor, dual SIM slots, 3.5mm audio jack and Dual 4G VoLTE connectivity.
The smartphone comes pre-loaded with ColorOS 5.2 (based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS) and is powered by the Mediatek Helio P60 octa-core 16nm processor paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD).
Power is supplied by a 3,500mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge technology that promises 2 hrs of talk time with only 5 mins of charge time. Photography is handled by 16MP (f/1.85) + 2MP dual rear cameras with AI portraits and scene recognition; and a front facing 25MP (f/2.0) AI camera with HDR support.
The OPPO F9 is priced at VND 7,690,000 (USD 331) for the 4GB RAM model. It comes in Starry Purple, Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue colours. It is expected to go official in India as the OPPO F9 PRO starting August 21.
