Xiaomi’s POCO (or POCOPHONE) sub-brand has officially released the POCO F1 in India. As expected, the flagship-level device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 AIE octa-core processor and comes pre-loaded with Android Oreo OS with MIUI 9.6 and POCO launcher on top.
The smartphone has a notched 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with 2.5D Curved Gorilla Glass protection, up to 8GB of RAM, USB type-C port, 3.5mm jack, IR Face Unlock (0.4s unlock time), fingerprint sensor and a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and a bundled 9V/2A charger.
POCO F1 is equipped with 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with dual-pixel autofocus and AI features such as real-time AI photography and AI backlit detection. It has the same 20MP front facing camera as the Xiaomi Mi 8, with AI beautify and AI scene detection.
It also features a LiquidCool Technology which prevents the device from overheating and slowing down, and arrives in Graphite Black, Rosso Red and Steel Blue colours. There is a special made POCO F1 Armoured Edition with Kevlar Aramid Fiber body.
There are three RAM and options to choose from: 6GB + 64GB for Rs. 20,999 ($300), 6GB + 128GB for Rs. 23,999 ($343) and 8GB + 256GB for Rs. 28,999 ($414). The F1 Armoured Edition (8GB + 256GB) is priced at Rs. 29,999 ($ 429).
All variants come bundled with free super soft case and there are also skins worth Rs. 299 ($4); Ultra-slim cases worth Rs. 399 ($6) and Armoured cases worth Rs. 799 ($12). It will launch globally as the POCOPHONE F1 and the company has promised a timely Android 9.0 (Pie) update in Q4 2018.
