Huawei’s Honor sub-brand has unveiled the Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max mid-range smartphones in China. While both models feature a water drop notch on its display and AI dual rear cameras, the 8X is smaller and more powerful whereas the 8X Max pack a bigger display and lasts longer.
The Honor 8X has a 6.5-inch 19.5:9 Full HD+ display and is powered by the Kirin 710 12nm octa-core processor while the larger Honor 8X Max sports a 7.12-inch 18.7:9 display with the same resolution but powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 660 SoC.
The 8X is equipped with 20MP (f/1.8) + 2MP AI dual rear cameras and front 16MP camera while the 8X Max has 16MP f/2.0) + 2MP (f/2.4) dual rear cameras and a 8MP selfie camera.

Pricing and Availability
The Honor 8X will go on sale in China from September 11 in Black, Blue, Purple and Red colours while the Honor 8X Max will go on sale in September in Blue, Black and Red colours only. The 6GB + 64GB model of the 8X Max with Snapdragon 660 SoC will go on sale in October.
