Last week, the Xiaomi Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro were all launched at a press event in India. The trio features fullscreen displays, 5MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, Dual SIM slots, Face Unlock, AI powered cameras and come pre-loaded with MIUI 9 (based on Android Oreo OS).
The cheapest of the trio – the Xiaomi Redmi 6A packs a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 display with 2.5D curved glass, 2GB of RAM, Mediatek Helio A22 SoC and a 3,000mAh battery. The Redmi 6, successor to the Redmi 5, has the same display and battery; however, it is powered by Mediatek’s Helio P22 processor paired with 3GB and is equipped with 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is powered by the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor and backed by a bigger 4,000mAh battery. It also has a 12MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup.

Pricing and Availability
- The Xiaomi Redmi 6A will go on sale exclusively from Amazon.in and Mi.com starting September 19. It is priced for a limited period starting at INR 5,999 for the 16GB storage model while the 32GB storage model costs INR 6,999. Blue, Gold, Grey and Rose Gold are the available colour options.
- The Xiaomi Redmi 6 will go on sale exclusively from Flipkart and Mi.com starting September 10. It is priced for a limited period starting at INR 7,999 for the 32GB storage model and INR 9,499 for the 64GB model. Blue, Gold, Grey and Rose Gold are the available colour options.
- The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro will be available exclusively from Amazon.in and Mi.com starting September 11. It comes bundled with a clear case and costs INR 10,999 for the 3GB/32GB model. The higher 4GB/64GB model costs INR 12,999.
