Meizu X8 Debuts With Notched Display, Dual Rear Cameras, SD710 SoC

‎Along with the 16X with In-display fingerprint sensor, Meizu also launched a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 10nm SoC powered smartphone called the Meizu X8. It is the first notched smartphone from the brand and the fingerprint sensor sits just below the rear camera.

The Meizu X8 sports a 6.2-inch (2220 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ LCD display with 89.6% screen-to-body ratio, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, 1.7 mm narrow bezels on the sides and 4.8 mm bottom bezels. It has a metal body frame, glass back and a 3,210mAh battery with mCharge fast charging.‎

For photography, there are 12MP (f/1.9) + 5MP dual rear cameras with beautify features and a front facing 20MP (f/2.0) camera with AI face unlock. It is available in three configurations: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB storage with 128GB storage. ‎

The Meizu X8 will go on sale in China starting October 15th and comes with Black, Blue and White colours. Pricing details can be found below:

  • 6GB + 64GB – CNY 1798 (USD 263)‎
  • 6GB + 128GB – CNY 1,998 (USD 292).‎
