OPPO K1 with 6.4-inch Full HD+ display, SD660 SoC, In-Display Fingerprint Scanner

Few weeks after surfacing on TENAA, OPPO has launched its first K series smartphone – the OPPO K1 in China. The mid-ranger is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 14nm octa-core Mobile Platform paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD).

The OPPO K1 has a large 6.4-inch Waterdrop notch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels), 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 91% screen-to-body ratio, 2.5D curved glass front cover, aluminium alloy body frame and 3D glass back. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor (one of the cheapest smartphone around with this feature).

For photography, there is a dual rear camera setup with 16MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with PDAF and various AI Camera features; and a front facing 25MP camera for selfies. It boots ColorOS 5.2 (based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS) and power is supplied by a 3,600mAh battery.

The 4GB + 64GB variant of the OPPO K1 is priced at CNY 1,599 ($232) and the 6GB + 64GB model is priced at CNY 1,799 ($260). It comes in Mocha Red and Van Gogh Blue colour options, and will go on sale in China starting from October 20th in China.
