Months after the launch of the Vivo Z1 and Vivo Z1i in China, Vivo has released a new variant from the series called the Vivo Z1 Youth Edition ( or Vivo Z1 Lite). It also boots FunTouch OS 4.0 (based on Android 8.1 Oreo) and will be available in Black, Purple Gradient and Red colours.
The Vivo Z1 Youth Edition is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB built-in expandable storage (up to 256GB via microSD). For the sake of comparisons, the Z1 uses the Snapdragon 660 while the Z1i has the Snapdragon 636.
The 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup on the Vivo Z1 has been upped to 16MP + 2MP. The rectangular notch on the front shelters the 16MP selfie camera with A.I Face Beauty. In addition to Fingerprint sensor, the device also have support for Face Unlock.
It is built around the same 6.26-inch (2280 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ IPS LCD display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 90-percent screen-to-body ratio. Power is supplied by 3,260 mAh battery and charges via a USB Type-C port. Pricing starts at CNY 1,098 (US$ 159) for the 4 + 32GB model.
