Over time, it has become very obvious that Vivo’s V series smartphones are sold in China as the X series (with the exclusion of Google services). The Chinese company has listed up a new mid-tier smartphone – the Vivo X21s with an in-display fingerprint sensor and dual rear cameras.
The Vivo X21s is very similar to the Vivo V11/V11 Pro and slots in ahead of the Vivo X21 with a larger display and slightly bigger battery capacity. It has the same 12MP (f/1.8) + 5MP (f/2.4) dual rear camera setup, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and 6GB of RAM.
The smartphone sports a 6.41-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with waterdrop notch, 24MP (f/2.0) selfie camera and a 3,400mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It is available only in 128GB storage option and arrives in two gradient colours – Millennium Powder and Starry Night.
As expected, none of the Google services is present on the pre-loaded FunTouch OS 4.5 (based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS) and Jovi AI. The Vivo X21s is available from Vivo online store and other major offline retailers in China for CNY 2,498 (USD 360 or EUR 320). The first 300 buyers at the online store will get a free smart band (worth CNY 89).
