LG WK9 XBOOM AI ThinQ Google-Assistant Powered Smart Display

LG has commenced sales of ‎its first voice-powered smart home display – the LG WK9 XBOOM AI ThinQ. It is now on sale in the US for an initial price of $200 until the end of November (will eventually sell for $300).

In one way or the other, the LG WK9 XBOOM AI ThinQ has similar features as the Google Home Hub, Lenovo Smart Display and JBL Link View. It has a 8-inch (1200 x 800 pizels) HD touchscreen display, 5MP built-in camera for video calls and two 20W front facing speakers tuned by MERIDIAN Audio for premium sound.

‎LG’s partnership with Google means the smart display is powered by Google Assistant and comes pre-loaded with Android Things OS, Google Photos, Google Play, Google Duo, Chromecast, and other Google products.

As expected, it ‎works well with Google Home compatible devices and also compatible with a wide range of apartment LG ThinQ range of products.‎ Availability in other markets outside the US will be announced at a later date.
