Huawei has finally unveiled its first smartphone with in-display notch/front camera (second ever after Samsung’s Galaxy A8s) – the Huawei Nova 4. It boots EMUI 9.0.1 (based on Android Pie OS) and is powered by the high-end Kirin 970 octa-core processor with support for GPU Turbo 2.0.
The Huawei Nova 4 has a 6.4-inch (2310 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ curved glass display with 86.3% screen-to-body ratio and a 4.5 mm hole in the top-left corner, which houses the front 25MP (f/2.0) camera (3.05 mm) and micro-seam earpiece on the edge (0.85 mm).
The triple rear camera setup includes a primary 48MP (f/1.8) camera, 16MP (f/2.2) secondary camera with 112-degrees super wide-angle lens and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth of field camera. There is also another version of the Nova 4 which has a primary 20MP (f/1.8) camera.
The cameras are equipped with features such as AI beauty, 3D Qmoji, PDAF and 4K video support. The device packs 8GB of RAM, 128GB built-in storage, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C and 3,750mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
The Huawei Nova 4 is priced at CNY 3,099 (USD 449) for the 20MP main camera version and CNY 3,399 (USD 492) for the 48MP main camera version. It will go on sale starting December 27th and will arrive in Black, Blue, Honey Blue and White colour options.
