The is LG G3 Screen is the same LG F490L Liger which has been in the news of recent and packs LG’s NUCLUN processor (LG ODIN). LG joins the likes of Samsung which also pack its in-house made application processor on smartphones and other device alike.
The LG NUCLUN (pronounced Noo-Klun) has an octa-core architecture (8 cores) and LTE-A Cat.6 compatibility which brings about higher all round performance and low-energy consumption. As we have earlier stated, the NUCLUN uses 8 cores – four 1.5GHz cores (ARM Cortex-A15) for high performance and four 1.2GHz cores (ARM Cortex-A7) for less intensive processing. The NUCLUN is compatible with current LTE networks and also LTE-A Cat.6 compatible with download speed reported to be around 225Mbps.
The Phablet sized LG G3 Screen is the first device to be powered by the NUCLUN and has the same design, UX features and camera like the flagship LG G3 smartphone.
Other features of the G3 Screen packs a 5.9-inch Full HD IPS display, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 13MP rear camera with OIS, front facing 2.1MP camera, LTE-A Cat.6, 1W speaker and a 3000mAh Battery.
The LG G3 Screen measures 157.8 x 81.8 x 9.5mm, weighs 182g and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. The device would be available in Black and White colour option and has been announced to a ‘South Korea’ exclusive device. It would cost around 80,0030 Korean Won (~ US$750) and could be available from LG U+ next week.
