Vivo has quietly commenced sales of its latest budget smartphone – the Vivo Y89 on AliExpress in China. Priced starting at CNY 1,598 (US$ 239), the smartphone will arrive in Aurora Blue and Black with Gold colours, and the specs are also closely similar to the Vivo Z1 Lite.
The Vivo Y89 has a notched 6.26-inch (2280 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass and 19:9 aspect ratio, rear fingerprint sensor, face wake (facial recognition), dedicated dual nano +nano SIM and microSD slots and a 3,260mAh battery.
Internally, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 Mobile Platform paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot). Photography is handled by 16MP (f/2.0) + 2MP (f/2.4) dual rear cameras and a front facing 16MP (f/2.0) camera with A.I face beauty and face unlock.
The Vivo Y89 measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm, weighs 149.3 grams and comes pre-loaded with Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
