Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 Is A Modest Upgrade Over The Snapdragon 710

Qualcomm Technologies has announced its latest Snapdragon 7 Series mobile platform – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712. It builds on some of the features and AI smarts of its predecessor – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710, by adding up to 10 percent performance boost.

Built on a similar 10nm FinFET process, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 Mobile Platform has the same multicore Qualcomm AI engine which consists of the octa-core Qualcomm Kryo 360 CPU (now clocked up to 2.3GHz), Qualcomm Adreno 616 GPU, and the Qualcomm Hexagon 685 DSP.

The SoC supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0+ technology for fast charging (charges battery from 0 to 50 percent in 15 minutes). It features the Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo Plus technology, Qualcomm Broadcast Audio technology, Qualcomm Aqstic™ audio technology and Qualcomm® aptX™ audio technology for an enhanced audio experience.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 Is also equipped with the Qualcomm Spectra 250 camera ISP and integrates the Snapdragon X15 LTE modem (with up to 800 Mbps DL and 150 Mbps UL, LAA and 4×4 MIMO). It will arrive at some point in some smartphones this year.
