Vivo India has unveiled the camera-centric Vivo V15 series smartphones – the V15 and V15 Pro. Much of the focus is placed on the Vivo V15 Pro, which is the first smartphone ever to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 AIE octa-core processor and feature AI Triple rear cameras.
The focal point of the Vivo V15 Pro is the Pop-up Selfie camera, which uses the same sturdy mechanism as that used on the Vivo NEX and a handful of other devices. The selfie camera packs 32MP (f/2.0) shooter with Samsung ISOCELL GD1 sensor and has 0.46 second elevating speed.
The AI triple camera setup includes a primary 48 Million Quad Pixel (f/1.8) sensor (shoots 12MP photos by default), 8MP (f/2.4) AI super wide-angle selfie sensor and 5MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. The setup has features such as AI Body Shaping, AI Super Night Scene and AI Potrait Lighting.
The smartphone has a notch-less 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 91.64% screen-to-body ratio and 1.75 mm narrow side bezels. It packs an in-display fingerprint sensor (0.37 unlock time) and Vivo confirms the proximity and ambient light sensors are embedded into the display.
The Vivo V15 Pro has 6GB of RAM, 128GB built-in expandable storage, Bluetooth 5.0, Face Unlock and a 3700mAh battery with Dual Fast Engine charging but charges via a micro USB port. It boots FunTouch OS 9 (based on Android 9 Pie) and feature Competition Mode (Game Mode 5.0).
There is a dedicated smart button to activate Vivo’s Jovi smart assistant and Google Assistant. The V15 Pro is available from online and offline stores including Amazon.In and Flipkart from March 8th for INR 28,990 (USD 410). Ruby Red and Topaz Blue are the available colour options.
