Alongside the hugely anticipated Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone and Galaxy Buds earbuds, the South Korean company also unveiled its first 5G smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. It is the final addition to the Galaxy S10 series which also has the Galaxy S10+, S10 and S10e.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G boasts of the same all-new Curved Dynamic AMOLED display (Infinity-O display), HDR10+ support, Wireless PowerShare technology feature, in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner, USB Type-C port and Intelligent Wi-Fi as the Galaxy S10 and S10+.
The phone sports a large 6.7-inch Quad HD+ Curved Dynamic AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a 4,500mAh battery with both wired super-fast charging (QC2.0, AFC & PD3.0) and fast wireless charging 2.0. It comes in a single SIM and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model only.
For photography, the ultra-premium flagship feature a quadruple rear camera setup with Dual OIS – a 12MP (PDAF, F2.4, OIS) telephoto, 12MP (Super Speed Dual Pixel AF, F1.5/F2.4, OIS) wide-angle, 16MP (FF, F2.2) ultra wide sensors and an extra camera for depth sensing.
The front camera setup has the same 10MP (Dual Pixel AF, F1.9) selfie camera but adds an extra 3D depth-sensing camera for 3D-image capturing. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will be available across Australia, Europe and North America starting Summer 2019.
