Samsung recently announced new additions to the rebranded Galaxy A series – the Samsung Galaxy A80 and Galaxy A70. Both smartphones packs some of the exciting features found in the premium Galaxy S series such as triple camera setup, fast charging batteries, different Infinity display type (Infinity-U and New Infinity) and USB Type-C port.
Samsung Galaxy A80
The highlight of the Samsung Galaxy A80 is its rotating camera for capturing photos (front and rear) and streaming live video. The rotating camera has a triple camera setup which include a primary 48MP (f/2.0) camera paired with an 8MP (f/2.2) camera with 123-degree FOV and 3D Depth camera. Interesting camera features include Scene Optimizer, Flaw Detection and Super Steady video mode.
The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED New Infinity display, onscreen fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos sound and a 3,700mAh battery with 25W Super-Fast Charging and intelligent features such as adaptive power saving mode to prolong performance time. It is powered by an octa-core (2.2GHz Dual + 1.8GHz Hexa) processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage space.
The Samsung Galaxy A80 comes pre-loaded with One UI on top of Android 9 Pie and boast features such as Intelligent Performance Enhancer, Bixby Routines, Samsung Knox and Samsung Pass as well as a button to activate Bixby to access the Bixby Vision, Bixby Home. The body is a mix of metal and 3D glass and comes in Angel Gold with Pink accent, Ghost White with Blue accent and Phantom Black colours.
Samsung Galaxy A70
The Galaxy A70 has a large 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display, onscreen fingerprint scanner, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 128GB built-in expandable storage and Dolby Atmos sound. It is equipped with a triple rear camera setup with a primary 32MP (f/1.7) sensor paired with an 8MP (f/2.2) sensor with 123-degree field of view and 5MP (f/2.2) depth sensor. The front camera is a 32MP (f/2.0) snapper with AR-Emoji and Selfie-Focus.
This premium smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor (either Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 or Exynos 7885) and comes pre-loaded with Samsung One UI. It also has a classic 3D Glasstic design, Samsung Pay with Samsung Knox, Samsung Pass, Samsung Health, Bixby and depends on a 4,500mAh battery with 25W Super-Fast charging. It is available in Black, Blue, Coral and White gradient colours and the 6GB RAM version is priced at INR 28,990 in India.
