The Samsung Galaxy M40 is the latest addition to the Samsung’s Galaxy M smartphone series in India. The mid-tier device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core mobile platform and feature the Infinity-O style of display which has only been used for the flagship Galaxy S10 smartphone series but is closer to other in the series which are the Galaxy M30, Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10.
The phone has a 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity-O display with on screen sound technology and 1200:1 contrast ratio, rear fingerprint scanner, 16MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with face unlock and triple rear camera setup which comprise of a primary 32MP (f/1.7) snapper with AI scene optimizer, 5MP (f/2.2) depth snapper and 8MP (123-degree ultra-wide) snapper. The setup has video features such as 4K video recording, Slo-mo and Hyperlapse.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 packs 6GB of RAM, 128GB storage (expandable up to 512GB via microSD), measures 7.9 mm thick, weighs in at 168 grams and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Power is supplied by a 3,500mAh battery with 15W USB type C fast charging with triple the speed of normal charging. It is priced starting at INR 19,990 on Amazon.in and Samsung’s online shop and sales commence today (June 18) in Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue gradient colours.

To recap the Samsung Galaxy M30, it has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display, 13MP (f/1.9) + 5MP (f/2.2) + 5MP (123-degree ultra-wide) triple camera setup, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. It is powered by the Exynos 7904 14nm processor and boots Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience 9.5. Pricing starts at INR 14,990 for the 4GB + 64GB model and INR 17,990 for the 6GB + 128GB model.
