Sometime last week, the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition (Extreme or Speed Edition) became the first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 768G Mobile platform. The latest phone in the Redmi K30 series is now on sale in China for a price tag starting at CNY 1,999 and arrives in Blue, Mint Ice, Purple and White colours.
Thanks to the new 768G chipset, the Redmi K30 Racing Edition is compatible with dual mode NSA/SA 5G and supports (1080 x 2400 pixels) FHD+ resolution on its 6.67-inch display as well as an aspect ratio of 20:9. Like its predecessor, it retains the 120GHz display refresh rate and the right-placed punch hole in the front corner houses the dual front cameras – 20MP main + 2MP depth sensor.
On the back, there is a vertically aligned quad camera setup comprising of a 64MP (f/1.78) Sony IMX686 primary camera paired with an 8MP (f/2.2, 120-degree) ultra-wide camera, a 5MP (f/2.4) macro camera and 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the power button and power is delivered by a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast wired charging. The rest of the specs includes 3.5mm audio jack, USB-C port, NFC and IR Blaster.
