Following weeks of teasing, OnePlus has finally unveiled its new mid-tier device under the Nord series in an online AR launch event. The OnePlus Nord, as it is known, borrows several features from the OnePlus 8 and becomes the second mid-tier device from the brand since the OnePlus X.
Based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, the OnePlus Nord offers both 4G and 5G networks, up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB (UFS 2.1) built-in storage. It packs a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, in-display fingerprint sensor, 32MP (Sony IMX616, f/2.45) + 8MP (f/2.45, 105° FOV) dual front cameras and face unlock.
The main camera setup is the same as the OnePlus 8 (48MP (f/1.75, 6P, Sony IMX586 with OIS + EIS Hybrid) main + 8MP (f/2.25, 119° FOV) ultra-wide + 5MP (f/2.4) depth + 2MP (f/2.4) macro) cameras. The rest of the specs include: Dual nano-SIM slot, NFC, USB 2.0 Type-C, and Bluetooth 5.1. It comes pre-loaded with OxygenOS (based on Android 10) and power is delivered by a 4,115mAh non-removable battery with Warp Charge 30T Fast Charging (5V/6A).
The OnePlus Nord will arrive starting August 4th in two colour options: Blue Marble and Gray Onyx; and three configurations: the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model for INR 24,999; 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model for INR 27,999; and the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage for INR 29,999. The 6GB RAM model is exclusive to India while the other two models will be available in the UK and Europe for GBP 379/EUR 400 and GBP 469/EUR 500, respectively.
