Joining Apple’s Airpods, Google’s Pixel Buds, Microsoft’s Surface Earbuds, and Samsung’s Galaxy Buds/Buds+, OnePlus has thrown its hat in the ring with the OnePlus Buds. The accessory, which launched alongside the OnePlus Nord, will go on sale for INR 4,990 (US$ 79 or EUR 89) starting August 4th from various outlets including Amazon, OnePlus, FLipkart, OnePLus Exclusive Offline stores and more.
The OnePlus Buds borrows the seashell-inspired CD-pattern design from the OnePlus Bullets Wireless series, offer touch controls and is available in Gray, Nord Blue and White colour variants. It packs a 13.4mm dynamic drivers for deeper bass, DIRAC audio tuner (OnePlus Nord)/Dolby Atmos (OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 8) for better surround sound, environmental noise cancellation tech, Bluetooth 5.0 and IPX4 sweat and water resistance rating. There is also a low latency mode for gaming when connected to an OnePlus smartphone.
It offers up to 7 hours of continuous music playback time when the 35mAh battery is fully charged and up to 30 hours including additional charging from its 420mAh charging case.Thanks to the inclusion of Warp Charge tech, the earbuds last up to 10 hours of listening with 10 minutes of charge and both the earbuds and charging case takes 80 minutes to charge fully. There is no wireless charging and silicone tips for comfort in the ear.
