ZTE Axon 20 5G – World’s First Under-Display Camera Smartphone

ZTE has officially unveiled the world’s first smartphone with under display camera – the ZTE Axon 20 5G. The new Axon series smartphone utilises an under-display camera powered by Five Core technologies and high transparency materials to balance the performance of the display and front camera. All these means that the phone has no notch, punch-hole, or flip-up cameras.

The ZTE Axon 20 5G has a true-full 6.92-inch FHD+ OLED display with 20.5:9 aspect ratio, 10-bit color depth support, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 3D curved glass on the back. It uses DTS:X Ultra 3D sound for an immersive audio experience, ZTE’s Super Antenna 2.0 to guarantee ultra-fast 5G experience and intelligent network acceleration technology to increase download rate by 30%.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G mobile platform paired with 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB built-in storage space. Photography is handled by a quad-rear camera setup made up of a 64MP main, 8MP (120O FOV) ultra-wide, 2MP depth sensing and 2MP macro camera. The front 32MP selfie camera is embedded under the display.

Power is supplied by a 4,220mAh battery with 30W quick charge and 5G power saving mode that improves battery life by 35%. The Axon 20 5G comes pre-loaded with MiFavor 10.5 UI and relies on nine temperature sensors to detect temperature as well as triple intelligent heat dissipation system that combines carbon nanofiber thermal pad, graphite material, and liquid cooling circulation.

The ZTE Axon 20 5G is available for pre-order in China through e-commerce channels including the ZTE store, JD.com and TMall. Pricing start at CNY 2,198.
