Huawei and Porsche Design has announced the premium Porsche Design Huawei Mate Series of the Mate 40 flagship. The PORSCHE DESIGN Huawei Mate 40 RS is based on the specs of the Mate 40 Pro+, which means it is powered by the 5nm Kirin 9000 5G SoC with 24-core Mali-G78 GPU, and comes pre-loaded with EMUI 11 (based on Android 10). It is available in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White colour options for a price tag starting at EUR €2,295.
The PORSCHE DESIGN Huawei Mate 40 RS has a 6.76-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, in-display fingerprint sensor, 3D face unlock, 512GB built-in storage, USB Type-C audio and 4,400mAh battery with 66W Huawei SuperCharge and 50W Wireless Huawei SuperCharge. The front display notch holds the 13MP (f/2.4) selfie camera with 3D Depth Sensing ToF Camera.
The rear quad camera setup is headed by a 50MP (f/1.9, OIS) RYYB ultra vision wide-angle camera paired with 20MP (f/1.8) ultra-wide angle cine camera, 12MP (f/2.4, OIS) telephoto camera for 3x optical zoom and 8MP (f/4.4, OIS) superzoom camera for 10x optical zoom. The whole setup also has a 3D Depth Sensing Camera, support AF and LED flash. The main camera setup records 4K videos at 60fps and slow motion videos (1080p) at 480fps while the front camera records 4k videos at 60fps and slow motion videos (1080p) at 240fps.
