Huawei FreeBuds Studio with Dynamic ANC, 24Hrs Playback Time

While the world expected Apple to release its branded over-ear headphones – the AirPod Studios with the iPhone 12/12 Pro, Huawei has beaten the company to the punch with the launch of its own first over-ear headphones. The Huawei FreeBuds Studio, as it is known, was announced alongside the new Mate 40 series and will offer dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) as well as 6-mic Call Noise Cancellation to suit usage in different environments.

Sporting a 7mm thin stainless-steel arm and soft-feel ear cups, the Huawei FreeBuds Studio packs a 40mm dynamic driver, 6-mic system, 4 Hz to 48 kHz ultra-wide frequency response, and support for 24-bit audio. It connects to up to two devices via Bluetooth (BT 5.2) simultaneously and offers both physical (Bluetooth, ANC, Power) as well as touch (Right ear cup) buttons.

It is powered by the Huawei Kirin A1 chip – the same used in the FreeBuds Pro true wireless earbuds and the battery lasts up to 24 hours of playback time (sans ANC). It takes about one hour to charge full via USB Type-C, however, 10 minutes of fast charge offers up to 5 hours of playback time (with ANC) and up to 8 hours of playback time (sans ANC). The FreeBuds Studio is sale in Europe for EUR 299 and arrives in Black and Gold colours.
