Yahoo’s current parent company, Verizon has commenced sales of a new Yahoo Mobile Android smartphone under the web services’ provider’s branding. The Yahoo Mobile ZTE Blade A3Y, as the device is known, is manufactured by ZTE and brings a host of yahoo web services and features such as Yahoo mobile app and Yahoo services (Mail/Mail Pro, News, Sports, and Weather).
Donning the branding’s notable purple (Grape Jelly) colour, the Yahoo Mobile ZTE Blade A3Y packs a 5.45-inch HD display, 8MP rear camera with Dual Flash, 5MP selfie camera with face unlock feature, rear fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE connectivity and 2,660mAh battery. It comes pre-loaded with Android 10 OS and is available in only one memory configuration: 2GB RAM + 32GB expandable storage.

The phone is positioned to use the Yahoo Mobile plan birthed by Verizon. The unlimited plan offers Yahoo Mail Pro for ad-free email, Verizon’s 4G LTE Network, unlimited mobile hotspot, and more for US$ 39.99 monthly with no annual contract. Verizon is expected to add its 5G network before the end of the year, whilst also making the plan available for the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Intending users can decide to bring their current phones or swap to the Yahoo mobile phone.
