Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ Debuts With 11th-Gen Intel Core Processors

Microsoft has announced the launch of the Surface Pro 7+ (Surface Pro 7 Plus) for business and education customers. The company also announced it would begin shipping the Surface Hub 2S 85-inch for the same set of customers. The former is available in select markets across Asia, Europe, and North America while the latter will be available broadly in select markets.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ has the same appearance as its predecessor– the Surface Pro 7, however, the specs has been upgraded to include the 11th generation Intel Core (i3, i5, i7) processors to deliver up to 2.1 times faster CPU performance and longer battery life (up to 15 hours). It has the same 12.3-inch PixelSense display with 3:2 aspect ratio, up to 32GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 1TB storage (removable), 3.5mm headphone jack, 1x USB-A and 1x USB-C ports, Surface Connect Port, 3.5mm headphone jack, 1x USB-A and 1x USB-C ports, and Surface Connect Port.

There is an optional LTE model that uses Qualcomm’s older Snapdragon X20 LTE Modem. The rest of the specs include Intel UHD Graphics (i3)/Iris Xe Graphics (i5, i7), 8MP AF (rear)/5MP (front) cameras with 1080p FHD video, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6 and nano SIM (LTE)/ MicroSDXC card reader (Wi-Fi). The basic model (Core i3/8GB RAM/128GB SSD) starts at US$ 899 (AU$ 1,499) while the top-end model (Core i7, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD) sells for US$ 2,799.99 (AU$ 4,699). Only the Core i5 models offer LTE-A connectivity and they start at US$ 1,149 (AU$ 1,879) and US$ 1,649.99 (AU$ 2,729) respectively for the i5/8/128/LTE-A and i5/16/256/LTE-A variants.
