The WinBook TW70CA17 Is a $60 Windows 8.1 Tablet for the US

Windows tablets being too expensive is now a thing of the past as Microsoft’s strategy to rival low priced devices (tablet & smartphones) is paying off. The strategy basically gave birth to so many sub-$150, sub-$200 and lower priced windows tablet. For today we got winds of a $60 priced Windows 8.1 powered tablet dubbed the WinBook TW70CA17.

Moving to the specs, the WinBook TW70CA17 is no different from any entry level WP tablets out there. It basically features a 7-inch 1280 x 800 pixels, powered by an Baytrail T Z3735G quad-core SoC with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card for storage expansion. Other features includes – front and rear 2MP camera, micro USB, USB 2.0, micro HDMI port, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. It measures 188.98 x 120.90 x 10.92mm and runs on Windows 8.1 OS.

The US Electronics retailer is also selling its two 8-inch Winbook tablet- the $99.99 model has the same hardware specs as the 7-inch model while the other $139.99 model has virtually the same specs only with the inclusion of 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. As seen with the specs, the WinBook TW70CA17 is basically an entry-level tablet hence the aforementioned specs. It is only available from the total 25 Micro Center stores in the US and it can only be handpicked from the stores.
