Google has extended its totally wireless earbuds portfolio with the Pixel Buds A-Series. This affordable alternative to the Pixel Buds (2019) offers the same hand-free access to Google Assistant, real-time translation, and premium-level sound quality for only US$ 99. It is currently available for pre-order in Canada and the US, will start shipping June 17.
The Google Pixel Buds A-Series is fitted with custom-designed 12 mm dynamic speaker drivers to deliver clear and natural sound; spatial vent to reduce in-ear pressure and beam forming mics to user’s voice is crystal-clear during calls. There are features such as Bass Boost and Adaptive Sound to regulate volume based on the environment.
It is expected to last up to five hours of listening time or 2.5 hours of talk time on a single charge and up to 24 hours of listening time or 12 hours of talk time using the charging case. While the case does not support wireless charging (USB-C port), charging the earbuds in them for 15 minutes delivers 3 hours of listening time or 1.5 hours of talk time.

Each earbud connects via Bluetooth 5.0, and real time translation via Google Assistant requires a Pixel phone or Android device running Android 6.0 and above. The Pixel Buds A-Series are sweat and water resistant (IPX4) and come in Clearly White with Gray undertones and Dark Olive colours.
