Micromax has added a new device to the Canvas series lineup with the Canvas Xpress. The device is available exclusively from Flipkart starting December 8th for Rs 6999 in Electric Blue and Classy Silver colour options. It also comes with 500 MB of free data per month for the first 6 months for Aircel users in India and free Flipkart eBooks worth around Rs. 1000.
The Micromax Canvas Xpress comes pre-loaded with SmartWake and HotKnot; the former allows users directly open apps with customised gestures from the lockscreen while the latter is MediaTek’s solution to the NFC – allows users tap screen-to-screen for sharing images, videos, music and browsing URLs.
Specs-wise the Micromax Canvas Xpress doesn’t offer more than similar smartphones in the same range and the company did not reveal all specs details. It runs Android 4.4 Kitkat out-of-the-box, supports Dual SIM functionality, 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset), a microSD card slot and 1950mAh battery.
