Samsung Galaxy A7 spotted through TENAA listing; Specs detailed

While Samsung has already announced the metal clad Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 smartphones, the Galaxy A7 is expected to debut pretty soon. It had been spotted initially on GFXBench and now it has passed through China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center (TENAA).

The Samsung Galaxy A7 bears striking semblance with the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 though it comes with a larger display. According to the TENAA listing, it is powered by an Octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of non-expandable internal memory, supports LTE connectivity, 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 5 MP front-facing camera, and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

It takes the place of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha as the thinnest Galaxy smartphone around with its measurements tipped at 150.9 x 75.9 x 6.3mm (0.5mm thinner than the Galaxy Alpha) and weighs 133 grams. The Samsung Galaxy A7 SM-A7009 has already been cleared for China; an international model of the device is also expected.
