Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G925F) purported specs Spotted via Antutu

After every flagship device there is bound to be another successor and the Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to make way for the Galaxy S6. Some latest reports claims the company is starting from the scratch with the Galaxy S6 thus naming the entire process – Project Zero.

TheGadgetsFreak (TGF) had earlier reported the highly rumoured specs of the upcoming Galaxy flagship. But a more or less solid information about the Samsung Galaxy S6 has surfaced thanks to some details revealed via the AnTuTu benchmark listing.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 (model number – SM-G925F) is said to be an european variant of the device. The listing confirms the device would be powered by 64-bit enables Samsung Exynos 7420 chipset with Mali-T760 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There could also be a Qualcomm Snapdragon version with the 810 tipped but recent news of the chipset being delayed could put this in jeopardy. The Exynos 7420 chipset and Snapdragon 810 has similar CPU cores but different GPUs.

The Galaxy S6 is expected to rock a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display and 32GB internal storage. The listing specifically states the main camera as a 20MP Sony sensor (earlier reports suggest it could also be 16MP) and a front facing 5MP camera obviously with Selfies taking in mind. Finally, it would run Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box with the company’s TouchWiz UI expected on top.

Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch 1920 x 1080p Super AMOLED Display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal storage, a front facing 2.1MP camera and a rear facing 16MP sensor.

Going further, we could see another variant of the Galaxy S6 in form of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The Galaxy S6 Edge would have the same specs as its original but will come with a two-sided display. Like Samsung did with the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is the first device from the company to sport a two-sided display.

Samsung has not confirmed any of these reports which means things could still change; the company is expected to make some announcement at the Mobile World Congress 2015 (MWC 2015) in Barcelona by March 2015.
