24-inch Android Toshiba Shared Board (TT301) Business tablet announced

Toshiba announced the 24-inch display sized Android OS powered tablet – the Toshiba Shared Board (TT301) on December 4. It is definitely not the largest tablet in the market as we have also seen 27-inch IdeaCentre Horizon table PC which made its debut last year.

Going by the specs, the Toshiba Shared Board (TT301) is not very much an AIO device that means it qualifies for a tablet. It features a 24-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution LCD panel display with 10-point multitouch. Under the hood is 1GHz dual-core processor (unspecified chipset) with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

Other specs details includes – Miracast support, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an IR remote control. The tablet is rather tad heavy at 3.9kg which is the size of Nine iPad Air 2 devices combined and runs on dated Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS.

Asides functioning as a windows tablet, it could also be used as a Windows touch panel monitor too. The tablet is intended for use in organisations and for businesses as such the IR remote control would come to good use for presentations.

The company did not reveal the price of the Toshiba Shared Board and when it would go on sale in the Japanese market. Its availability in other markets asides its home country is very slim for now.
