Micromax has launched a selfie-centric smartphone in the Canvas series range from the company, know as the Micromax Canvas Selfie.
The highlight of the devices are its cameras, The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel front facing camera with LED flash just like HTC Desire Eye.. There is also a rear facing 13-megapixel Sony sensor camera with Dual LED flash.
Both cameras come with several software enhancements and features such as Teeth Whitening, Remove Oil, Face Slimming, option to add make up, Eye enhancement and others.
Other spec details of the Micromax Canvas selfie includes – a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) display with corning gorilla glass 3, powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz (possible the Mediatek MT6752), 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage space and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
It runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box, has Dual SIM functionality (Nano + Nano), 3G connectivity, FM Radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS with aGPS, micro USB v2.0 and a non-removable 2300mAh Li-ion battery which provides up to 8.5 hours of talk time and up to 198 hours of standby time.
The Micromax canvas Selfie is available in Angelic White and Mystic Blue colours; would be available in Home country India by the second week in January. Pricing details and different availability options would be announced closer to launch date.
